Stillages

Stillages and pallet boxes are both designed to hold and transport goods safely, keeping contents contained and easy to lift by forklift or pallet truck. But their performance can be very different.

At Rapid Racking, all our stillages are built with reinforced steel frames and solid steel or steel mesh sides, making them stronger and more durable than most pallet boxes—and offering a higher load capacity.

Metal stillages are also excellent for block stacking, remaining stable even when fully loaded. Pallet boxes can be stacked too, but their footprint and load distribution make them better suited to pallet racking systems.

• Storing

  Stackable stillages allow you to get more from your storage footprint. Galvanised steel options provide durable weather-resistant outdoor solutions while a painted finish is more suited to internal use. Choose lockable designs for added security—with hinged lids and gas struts for safe opening and closing—and Europallet-compatible (1200x800 mm) models for seamless integration.

• Picking

  Mesh stillages offer clear visibility of contents, essential for picking parts or sorting components on the factory floor. And many feature half-drop fronts on their long or short side for easy access to stacked items on the production line.

• Transporting

  Our metal stillages are strong and stable but they’re also easy to move. Most have runners for forklift and pallet pump handling from either side. Other options include corner lifting points for crane handling, and timber bases to help stabilise heavy goods during transit.
